,

A/N: Okay..I was listening to alot of music from the 80's(fave
deacade of music) and Janet and Aaliyah to even get inspired to write this chapter.

To those who wanted Nikki to get know someone better and
talk , I had her do that a little with Justin in this chapter. Later!

Nikki smiled into the phone and  ran her other hand through her hair.

"Justin. Hey. So, how did you know that I needed a friend?" "I'm
just in tune with things that's all."

He laughed. "Okay, sure.Come to
my place. Here's my address."

She heard Justin scribble down the
address and directions and then waited for him to speak.

"Give me fifteen minutes. I gotta get something, okay?"

"Sure, I'll be waiting." Nikki hung up as she changed out of her clothes and into a fresh pair of sweats and a tshirt.

Justin arrived at her door with a big bag and some CDs.He pressed the
doorbell as he heard movement behind it. Nikki opened to see him smile at her with his arms full.

"Special delivery for Miss Nikki
Ford." He grinned as he walked in and went into the living room.Nikki
followed him with a smile slowly spreading on her face.

"What's all that?" SHe pointed to the bag abd the CDs he put on the coffee table."Breakfast. And what's breakfast without a little morning mix of mine. He said walking to the stereo.

He hit the play button and
went back to the couch and pulled the food out of the bag. Nikki sat
on the floor Justin passed her and sausage mc muffin and orange
juice. He grabbed his food as the music started to play.

Nikki started to grin as she heard Culture Club's "Do You Really Want
To Hurt Me" play. "Oh my god! How did you know? I love this song!"
She said as she bit into her sandwhich and swayed her head.

Justin smiled as opened his juice. "I didn't know. I made a mix of songs the I like to listen to during breakfast."

"What else is on there?" She asked looking a his handwriting on the cd cover. "Just
some songs from the eighties and on." "Cool. So what have you been up to,Justin?"

He finished the first sandwhich and moved to the next one."I've been real busy writing songs for singer named Joey Fatone,JR. He's an actor, but wants to record his first album. He has a great voice. He may become big ,with this album."

"Hmm. How did you become a songwriter?" Justin looked at Nikki with a serious look on his face.

"What's wrong? Did I ask a personal question?"

Nikki asked wondering if she treaded on a difficult subject. "No,I-." "Wait. This is my song!"

Nikki jumped up and blasted the volume. Culture Club's'Karma
Chameleon' started to play as she jumped and danced singing to the
song. Justin laughed and watched her bounce around the room. Nikki
went up to Justin and grabbed his hand, pulling him up. "Come on,
lets dance." She laughed. She took his hands and danced with him,
swinging his hands and spinning herself in his arms. They laughed and as the song started finish and fade and the next song came on.
NKOTB's 'I'll Be Lovin' You (Forever) came on. Justin put his his hands to his sides and looked at her."Do you wanna continue or stop?"
Nikki walked up to him and took his hands again. "Continue."They slow
danced the bittersweet song as Justin started to speak. "As I was
gonna say before. No, you're the first person to ask me about how I
became a songwriter. Well, I went to college to major in poetry, but
knew I wasn't going to be able to pay the bills writing poem no
matter how good they are.Well I wrote pretty good songs as a hobby.
And decided to change my major to songwriting and my minor to
poetry." He said looking down at her.He noticed that she was paying
attention to every word,so he conituned. "When I graduated , I knew a guy  in school named Joshua who was in my songwriting
class. He wanted to do the same thing, about songwriting, but he
wanted to own his own business. He came into some money and opened
his own songwriting/publishing rights company. He remebered me and I work for him. That's about it. What about you? Why were you looking at
Melanie ,besides doing that webpage for the museum?"

Nikki looked off as they still danced.
Out of the speakers she Aaliyah's latest song 'Rock the Boat'. She
looked back at him and sighed."I met this guy a couple of weeks
before and we kinda have a relationship- no, its just sex.Even though it's hot sex, I want more. Then again ,I wouldn't know what I wanted if it bit me in the ass."

"So that's why my poem touched your heart. Well,I'm here anytime you need me.Whether its a friend, a should to cry on, someone you need to cuss at or punch in the arm when your mad. Call me, I'm not that far away."

Nikki laughed and turned away.
Justin turned her face back to him and looked her deep into her eyes
with a straight face. "I'm serious, Nicole. If you need me, call
me."

Nikki, slowly shook her head as they let go of each other. They
both sat back on the couch and justin pulled out two covered bowls of fresh fruit. "Thank you Justin. You didn't have to do this." "You're
welcome. And it's breakfast time. I wasn't about to eat in front of
you."

They talked for hours about favorite shows, songs, clothes,
hobbies. What they love and what gets on their last nerves. Before they
knew it, the morning went and afternoon came. Breakfast was gone and they play about seven of Justin's ten cd's. Nikki layed back against the couch while Justin's head and shoulders lay in her lap. They stopped talking to just listen to some slow, and sweet songs from the latest cd they put in. Nikki lifted Justin's head and got up ,so she could lay down on the couch with him. He opened his arms and she went into them. They took slow, deep breaths as they snuggled into each other as they fell asleep to Janet Jackson's 'Again.'
